Help On The Way is a family run business dedicated to providing busy families with personalised service and the highest quality domestic help. Our founder, Mary Milgrom, has over 30 years experience providing nannies and domestic help to Melbourne families and is a working Mother and Grandmother herself. In 1990, Mary saw the need for an agency that specialised in working with families and helping relieve the stresses of running a modern household. As Mary said at the time, “I am well aware of the pressures facing many families these days. There just does not seem to be enough time. Time for family, friends, work and yourself.” Mary was a founding member of the Australian Association of Nanny Agencies (A.A.N.A.) as it was originally known. As part of her passion for delivering the highest quality helpers to her clients, Mary was instrumental in working with the association to lobby for regulations to make it compulsory for all nannies to have first aid certificates and police clearances before working with children. Mary’s daughter, Lissa – herself a working mum - joined the business 15 years ago. Many of the other staff started working as nannies and have gone on to help us run all areas of the agency. A lot has changed and the agency has grown substantially since 1990. Some 8,563 families have entrusted their children and homes to our helpers. The office has grown and our range of services has expanded to include elderly carers, house sitters and party helpers. One thing will never change – our dedication to giving busy families back some of their time by providing the best domestic help available. About Our StaffMary Milgrom – Director. Mary oversees all areas of the agency. Mary began the agency 19 years ago. She continues to keep things running smoothly and effectively with her knowledge, experience and understanding of all our clients needs. Ceara Nelson – Office Manager & Accounts. Ceara worked as a nanny for over 5 years and now is in the office full time. She has a great understanding of the experience and responsibilities required in a child care position. She has also worked with many of our existing clients which is beneficial when choosing the right person for the job. Lissa Franke – Marketing/Advertising & Childcare including function co-ordination and party help. Lissa, Mary’s daughter, has been working at the agency for 15 years. Her customer service skills and knowledge of our clients, helps to keep our service as personal as possible. Pamela Jelicic – Cleaning Department & Party Help. Pamela has been working at the agency for 5 years and does an amazing job running the cleaning department. She is bilingual. As most of our cleaners speak Yugoslav as their first language, this comes in handy when translating is required. Phyllis Glassel – Casual Babysitting and Childcare. Phyllis had been working at the agency part time for over 8 years. She has a broad knowledge of all our services and is happy to answer any enquiries you may have. Nerma Sokolic – Reception & Cleaning Department. Nerma joined us in the office mid 2007. She brings her friendly personality to the reception desk and assists Pamela in the cleaning department.
